Long time I've enjoyed travelling around. As a young boy, I drove a lot around by my bicycle (still do) and since I got my driver's license in Aug 2000, I'd estimate having driven already over 400 000 km.

So, I had a map on my computer, that outlined the municipalities of Finland. I started to color them according to which I had been to. Quite soon it appeared that 1) it was like 500km to nearest region I hadn't already visited, and 2) I needed some kind of proof having visited all these places.

So, on 2 June, 2003 the project "officially" started. The first municipality signs photographed were Ranua and Simo. This first roadtrip (three days, ~2600km) gained me almost all the municipalities of Finnish Lapland.
